Sash Pins

Sash pins are used to fasten the mortise and tenon joints of window sash.  Sash pins are made from 11 ga. (0.120" dia.) steel wire nails, with a standard diamond point and a head similar to, though slightly smaller than on a standard finish nail.  They used to be readily available from domestic nail manufacturers.  We are looking for a nail manufacturer, preferably in the USA, to make these sash pins for us.   The  sash pins are about 1/8" shorter than the thickness of the sash, so we need 1" long sash pins for standard 1-1/8" sash, and 1-1/4" pins for standard 1-3/8" sash.

UPDATE:

We now have sash pins made from non-rusting aluminum. They were produced in the USA by a custom nail manufacturer that has been in business for well over 100 years! The sash pins are identical to the originals in design except for being made of aluminum instead of steel.
